I train any new dog on Stan Harveys techniques.
The DVD I have is for labradors but it works for me in springers so I can't argue
Its basically spending 10 mins a day with the dog doing training, starting with pure basics
Eg sit, stay, getting him to fetch etc
I'd highly recommend looking him up on tinternet!

Oh and good luck! when it works, you won't be disappointed!you have hours of fun and frustration ahead :D

    Congrats on the new purchase.

At 8/9 months I always like to have my springers doing the basic, sit, stay, walk to heel and retrieving. You can get most dogs doing this handy enough and don't have to apply massive pressure. There are little tricks for everything. I found youtube training videos very handy but once you go at it you will start to develop your on ways.

If you have any questions just pm me and I wil try to be as much help as I can, if any!

    Best of luck!
