Hi folks. Need some help. I'm trying to ditch cable television and just use normal terrestrial channels. I'd be happy with just Saorview but the wife needs at least the UK channels. They aren't coming through for me unfortunately (using an Argos amplified aerial, not roof mounted).
Does anyone know of a way I can get those channels, can they be streamed etc?

Freesat and a dish will work for most of Ireland. You need to be close to the border with NI or close to Wales for freeview (from an aerial).

    Check out www.freesat.co.uk

Fta looks expensive in terms of installation etc. Gonna look into freesat

FTA means Free To Air. This uses the same dish and signals as Freesat and offers the same channel choice. Freesat is a branded box which offers better / easier functions for recording etc, although some FTA boxes also do this.

This is with your TV's built-in tuner? Or you bought a Saorview box? What's the make & model of the TV, & box if you bought one?
