C4 Grand Picasso issues

    Hi All,
I bought a 2007 Grand Picasso diesel 4 years ago. In the years since I have had to replace the wiper motors (master and slave), ECU and clutch. This is in addition to the routine maintenance. Each one of these jobs cost north of a grand. I have reached the endpoint with this car and am looking around for a replacement.
If we ignore the above mechanical issues we like the car as the size and flexibility and seat height are great. Based on this going for another C4 is an option but I'm terrified about a repeat of the mechanical issues.
What are other peoples experience with the C4 Picasso (was I just unlucky?)
