I have the "I'm getting old and 3 pints hit me harder than I wanted it to" hangover going on, a big mug of strong black coffee is helping matters though.

Tea or coffee is probably not the best to be drinking if you have a hangover. The caffeine also acts as a diuretic incidentally.

    Water > Caffeine.

    Dyoralyte, magical fairy dust.
    So cheap as well.

I try have one before drinking, if I remember when I get home and one in the morning and the hangover is grand.

    Only like 50cent a pack

I'd imagine there's a crisis in Germany right now as workers turned up 5mins late for work this morning...

Does dioralyte work even though you already have the hangover?

Ah stop, tea is a great job when hungover always helps! A bottle of ice cold coke and a big mug of tea would keep a man alive with a bad hangover!

OP, have 2 pints and a big feed at lunch and you will be right for the afternoon then.

Ya, just replaces salts in your body.

Its original use is for dehydration from pooping yourself silly.
Try it and never look back.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,844 ✭✭✭intellectual dosser

Thats a the small print they're only gradually getting to on dioralyte OP.

If you plan on having that "end of hangover dump" in the mid afternoon then you'll end up disappointed.

The decent thing to do would be to have the World Cup final on a Saturday night so we could all avoid situations like this

Didn't watch a minute of the footsieball. Can't remember the last time I had a hangover.

    No help I'm afraid.

It does , its up on a par with space travel , sliced bread and various other wonders.
Designed originally for kids with scutters and exhibition vomiting , its replaces salts and stuff lost through dehydration .

Saved me many a time from certain death by hangover.

I had a serious hangover on Saturday, I feel your pain OP. :( I was absolutely baloobas Friday night. Got home at 2, went to bed, woke up at 5, STILL DRUNK and proceeded to get sick all saturday morning. I kept dry wretching, it's the only thing I could do to relieve the pain in my stomach. Eventually I fell asleep and woke up not as ropey but the pain in my head Saturday evening was enough to kill a horse. :(

Never again!! :( I don't know how you can stand being in work with a hangover. :(

    Feeling a bit better now.

Was on my way into work and I drove past one of the lads literally 1 min away from the office. About 10 minutes later I get a phone call of him to say that he won't be in as he is not well!! I reckon he was hungover, got to the office door and then decided he was too hungover to come in!

I knew it was over when all the car horns down my street went off when Germany won.
