    Hi.

Newbie on here so thought I'd seek advice from someone who knows more than me on these matters.

I bought a second hand Bianchi pista (chrome) last month and while generally happy with it the cranks are a quite noisy, especially when going uphill.

Anyone able to recommend a quality upgrade to the stock Truvativ Touro?

Ideally would like a 42mm chainline (have measured rear hub/chain as this), and be silver/polished look.
Campy Record Pista would be too much to spend, for example. Road use rather than track use.

    Thanks!

Cheers, but I've only seen that with black chainring. Looking for all silver/polished

are you sure its not just the bottom bracket?

You also don't need to worry about the chainline id you're buyiing a BB and crankset, which is the best option imho.

Anyway, look for silver Sugino RD2 Messenger cranks or the Stronglights on Planet X.

Definitely, it sounds like its the BB rather than the crankset, you would get that cheap enough if you weren't looking to spend big. But if you are getting a new crankset, probably better getting the matching BB at the same time.

I got the Stronglights from Planet X and have been very happy with them.,

    Thanks everyone.

I'm aware that it might be just the BB but the cranks are looking a bit worn too, so figured might as well get both at same time.

I'll have a look at the suggestions, much appreciated.
