I am having a hard time deciding on what monitor to get for my new build. Basically my decision falls under TN or IPS. Anyone that have either of these types of monitors can you recommend one ? I do play some FPS a lot but I prefer to enjoy a game in its full glory which is why I am currently leaning towards an IPS

Never TN. IPS or VA all the way.

What size, resolution, and budget, are we talking about?

Some to consider: Dell U2412M, Dell U2713HM, BenQ BL3200PT, LG 34UM95.

I have a budget of 700 for the monitor as for me it is one of the most important components of my build. For size anything between 23 - 27 inch I would say. I would really like a monitor that comes with G-sync as well

€700 is a healthy budget alright. Unfortunately there aren't any worthwhile G-Sync monitors out right now. Asus have their 27" ROG Swift, but it's TN. Supposedly good TN, but an IPS or VA will still be superior.

You might have a look in the Yamakasi thread here as well. Some interesting options there with regards to 27" IPS monitors, some of which can be overclocked to 120Hz.

Yea and for that budget you could likely get two of those monitors. I have a QNIX 27" monitor myself and i have to say it is a fantastic monitor. With your GPU you should get 110hz easily
