Genzyme for MS 5m Road Race August 29th

    4th year of this race and its going from strength to strength.
    Just ask anyone that has done it any of those years for confirmation.
    This year we hope to break the 500 barrier.
    A big ask, but last year we had 480 registered.

    4th Annual Genzyme for MS 5m Road Race.
    Friday August 29th at 7pm, Walkers leave at 6:30.
    Registration €15 online and €18 on the night from 5:30
    Building on success of last 3 years, making improvements to the event on an ongoing basis.
    Along with chiptiming from Total Timing our course is accurately measured and has acquired an AAI road race permit.
    Suitable for all levels. Minimum age 16 years.
    Prizes and refreshments onsite immediately after race.
    Parking available onsite on the night. Please follow security instructions when you arrive onsite.
    Online registration closes Wednesday 27th August at 23:59.
    Pre-Registration Thursday 28th August 5pm – 7pm
    Pre-Registration advised to avoid crowds that we have had on the night the past two years.
    Cash Prizes in the following categories:
    Male – 1st,2nd,3rd, O40,O45,O50,O55 and Junior
    Female – 1st,2nd,3rd, O35,O40,O45,O50 and Junior

    New for 2014 – this year in addition to everything we provided the past 3 years we are offering:
    The first 300 registered a dri fit tech shirt (100 in 2011/12 and 200 last year)
    Increase in prize money: 1st,2nd,3rd Male and Female will take home €200,€150 and €50 respectively.
    Also the first Male and/or Female home that beats the course records set last year will recieve a €100 bonus.
    We are using the exact same route as last year.

    Male – Philip Harty – 24:50
    Female – Siobhán O’Doherty – 28:45

    This race would not be possible without the sponsorship of Genzyme and because of that it allows us to hand over 100% of funds raised from registration to your local MS respite centre, Cheshire Waterford on Patricks Hill.
    We do not take out a cent for operational costs or to provide prize money so you know that your registration fee is going to great use.
    Thank You for your support the last 3 years and heres to making 2014 a record night for MS.
