Shearing ewe lambs

    Just wondering is three any advantage to sheering ewe lambs that are gona breed later this year

    we usually shear them about middle of august

    What is the advantages jt or is it just bigger lambs could you shear now or is it better in mid august shearing now would save the price of doing with clik next week is all just wondering

    Can make them grow quicker as they eat more grass to stay warm, also really tidy at lambing time as no wool around udders for lambs to get lost on. IMO later would be better, usually do mine in September

    When do rams go with them long after sheering or befor or does it depend on size of lambs say I've ones 55kg average when could they go

    Here usually after but they wouldn't be 55kg before hand, if I was letting ram out now i would use a teaser, there natural cycle wouldnt be until October/November for a march born lamb

    Think you mean born it was start of feb there belclare/soffolk belclare/lleyn cross il post picture later of them
