So our (not) 'new' Minister for the Department for Agriculture and Defence (!) is Mr Simon Coveney

This is the new DAD Departmental logo ...

The new theme tune is as follows ...

.... It can only end badly ...

Do you reckon that army personnel would be available for relief milking? ;)

Now that Coveney has two portfolios, does that mean Ag Food For was only a part time job?? :)

His first task as defence minister is to have the fence painted!

I wonder though why Coveney wasn't moved -like a lot of the rest of them ? Do they reckon he is doing a great job and got Defence added as a bonus or they think de farmers are getting a bit uppity and will need a bit more control :D

In reality we have 1 minister now covering what I think were 4 portfolios, ag, marine, fisheries and defense. Was there a food one as well?

Why don't they lump health, justice, finance, and labour in together? We'd save a fortune in political pensions.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Nah what happens is that he gets two pensions. Much better altogether ;)

He might go down but he won't stay there. You could sandblast him for a day and you still wouldn't want to turn your back on whatever was left. My money's on con.
