Selective spray for ferns

    Anyone know what spray I should use for ferns without killing grass?

    I never had a problem with ferns before until I joined reps in 2006 and got a hedge cutter in to trim the ditches :( Since then they have spread out to the edges of the fields in places :mad: The ground was limed but didn't make any difference.

    Not very scientific but I've a field plagued with ferns. They had taken over . Last summer I topped them all. ( poor quality, but level ground) was some regrowth this year, so hit them with topper again. A lot have died off. grass is starting to crowd them out. What I'm being left with is ferns 4-6" high which are a lot easier to kill with sprays then big 4ft wide ones that might be too strong for spray. Has cost me a few shear bolts in tractor but that's it.
