Hi im looking for anyone that can help me in selling a used car thats adapted with hand controls for disabled drivers the car is only a 98 ford fiesta and i probably wouldnt get much for it but its the hand controls that has cost me alot that i didnt want to lose out on getting a few quid for. the car is driving fine has a new NCT on it few scrapes on the car alright but dont want to sell it to a dismantler for nothing. i would like to make something out of it as hand controls are expensive and they wouldnt go in my new car as its different altogether.

    any help much appreciated

    Thanks

the major question is, what is your asking price, then how much is the car realisticly worth, can the adaptation kit be removed the sold seperatly, to me this would make more sense.

if i got 300 for it with the controls i would be happy i dont know about removing the controls as the lights and indicators is all wired up onto the controls also

You want 300 quid for a 98 with nct. Well your price is certainly cheap so that isn't the problem. I'm going to guess your advert is.
    Do you have a link?

Did you mean €3000? I would think a fiesta with a fresh NCT you'd have no problem whatsoever shifting it for €300, it'd be a fairly good learner car for that price. Are the adapters the only way of operating the controls or can you use the standard ones also?

Can it be driven normally with the controls fitted?

I'd list it up at 700....when I'm donedeal I sometimes set the filter to ignore below 350 to ignore the ****e ads for car wraps etc.

Are there any disability organizations that might be able to put you in contact with somebody who is looking to buy a cheap adapted car? Local groups/charities, that sort of thing?

Is it automatic? And what form of hand controls are on it?
My mam needs an adapted car and having a second would free the other up for my dad.

yes its automatic with push/pull hand controls and the lights and indicators can be used from the hand control and has the steering ball on the wheel also

it kinda suits me, but i really need a car which can acomadate a a mobility scooter, i have an estate car which can take a mobility scooter but its too much work to load andd unload it, i got a trailer, easier to load and unload but takes up too much room in a paay car park or a street.

I'd be interested in having a look for my grandmother. She was thinking of getting an automatic but I think the hand controls would also be very handy for her. Let me know when the ad is up please

Don't want to derail the thread, but we use a Thule Easybase with a mobility scooter.. attaches to tow bar and is tidy behind the car. we put a plywood base on it so we can roll the scooter on and off. It may suit depending on the weight of your scooter.

    Thule Easybase
