Anyone here doing this? There's over 300 signed up to it and probably a few more on the day registrations. There've changed it to a controlled pace cycle this year with groups leaving every 15 minutes. Participants pick the group/sped they want. I'm going with the 4hr group (average 28kmph) but may join the 3.5hr group if they pass us further up the road. Weather may be a little on the damp side but we'll have a SW to W tailwind...which will make things easier.

Ohh right. Best of luck to all doing it. The wind makes it a great cycle, adds easily 3-4km per hour to average speed.

I've done this about 5 times, not for a few years though now, great event with good support from start to finish.

Did prefer it though before the by passes were built, meaning passing though bundoran, ballyshannon, and donegal town. Barnsmore and Drumkeen Hill always remained my least favourite sections though.

I live in Drumkeen and have a KOM on that hill (from the N13 to the old Letterkenny 4x4 premises - 2km distance)
Barnesmore is a long old drag alright but not as bad as the drag after you come through Rathcormac, it's my least favourite section.
