Community Childcare Subvention (CCS) & BTEA

Hoping someone can shed some light on this for me please. It's on behalf of a mate (really!) who can't seem to get answers online (Citizens info etc), and I haven't a clue, so maybe someone here can advise please?

She is currently in receipt of JSA but plans to return to college in September and will be applying for Back to Education. As things currently stand, she would be entitled to full personal allowance plus dependent adult and child allowances. However, her partner has just accepted a job, albeit a low paid position at approx €20k per annum. She expects that her payment will now be reduced to reflect his salary. She reckons she'll get approx €130 per week on Jobseekers and in turn BTEA, can anyone confirm this? I'm afraid I don't know where exactly she got this figure from, but can certainly ask if anyone needs clarification.

In addition, she hopes to avail of the Community Childcare Subvention while studying. She is now concerned that because her partner is employed, she may not qualify. They are both medical card holders and I know from the reading I've done that BTEA is considered a qualifying payment for this scheme. However, if her partner is now employed, will this affect their entitlement? They have one child. From what I can gather, only one parent needs to qualify in order to avail of this scheme, but I'm loathe to tell her this in case I have it wrong. Anyone here have a notion?

    Many thanks in advance.

As far as I'm aware as long as one parent is in receipt of jobseeker's benefit the subvention is granted

Even having the medical card alone means she will be entitled to some form of CCS subvention but perhaps not at the most favourable level.
