padded harness..not underarm?

Hi, I'm looking for recommendations for a padded harness that doesn't cut in under the dogs armpits. We use an ezy walk one at the moment but its starting to cut in.

We were going to buy a perfect fit one (which would also help with her when she sometimes pulls) but it also seems quite close to the armpit.

OH picked up a K9 one on the way home but I'm not mad on the straps as they are not covered.

Any other recommendations please and thanks!

You could try Sharon at Trailbaby, she does made to measure harnesses, collars etc, and could probably make something suitable. I have been trying to recommend someone in Wicklow that used to do made to measure harnesses, but can't contact her, and I'm not sure she's still in business.

You can get neoprene strips for the Julius ones that go over the straps on k9-usa.com. Depending on the size and strength of your dog it won't help with pulling though. You can also get fleece strips for the perfect fit to cover the straps. Another one to try if you want a front attach one would be an xtradog fleece harness. Hpp.ie stock them or if you're in Dublin Nature and Nuture pet shop in Glenageary stock them too. We're using Freedom harnesses atm - the belly strap is kind of velvety so it doesn't cut in.

Thanks for the link muddy I've sent her a message. She has some really nice stuff.

Thanks tk, I'll google those covers for the julius. We've put the one from our other harness across where it closes and that will do until we get another harness sorted. I feel the julius would be too warm in summer too and as you say no help if she pulls. She only pulls occasionally though.
I'll have a Google of the other harnesses too.

    Thanks guys!

Sporn is padded and doesn't cut under the arms. Trouble is - it doesn't stop the pulling!!

I know, the uncertainty til its over is nerve wracking! my lady was in heat for 3 weeks altogether. Glad she's spayed now and I don’t have to go through it again!!
