Hello everyone, I have a 01 2.5L diesel Mitsubishi L200 and the engine needs to be replaced on it. I have been offered a 1992 Pajero 2.5L Diesel engine and was wondering will it fit into my 2001 L200? Ive had a read around and people say you can and a mechanic friend says you should be able to but I want some more assurance

I couldn't see why not, if you had the complete engine and ancillaries. Would a 2.8 not be a better bet? Chain, not belt and a stronger engine, just needs its coolant watched a bit.
