    spent 10 years in RTE so expect him to hammer rte to show hes not soft on his auld employer.

    .... or altenatively quickly make some even handed decisions like getting OTV on Saorview, RTE jr moved off RTE 2, and RTE NN allowed to advertise so it can begin to provide a news service, perhaps after it is moved into the RTE News department. However, I am not expecting anything here. He will follow his highly experienced predecessor and do nothing.
