It speculated that James Reilly is moving from minister for health to another ministry.

If he wasn't able to run the health portfolio why not kick him out of tbe cabinet altogether. Thought that what happened in normal jobs.

because it is politics, he has his group of supporters on the back benches, the electorate gets to kick him out in the next election if they want.

It must have been a frightfully big dose of Laxatives to get this drone going.

Are they going to use a crane or what? Will they have to make a Reilly sized hole in the wall?

Good, there was too much time being spent on trivial matters like harassing tobacco companies.

I think Public Health might be part of his new portfolio, along with children and youth affairs, so he'll probably have even more time to harass that poor innocent industry that makes its billions from getting children hooked on carcinogens.

thats a load of rubbish, they have no interest in deliberately getting children hooked on anything, children will experiment, ideally they wouldn't, but with all the education and information these days they still do

Most smokers get hooked before adulthood. That is, and has always been, the case.

Might do. This is politics though, nothing normal here. He backed Kenny against Bruton. Varadkar didn't, so he now has the poison chalice of health to play with.

Hes now minister for children......thank jaysus I'm old.

He needed to spend more time harrassing the middle management in the HSE and doing what he was dam well supposed to do as part of his portfolio.

The man thought he was michael martin mark II with the smoking ban.

We dont need further crap on tabacco its deflecting from some core issues central to our Health Service Spending.

Taking on unions and giving the day to day front end staff a break from having too much workload too much management and little gratitude.

If the cake was any more top heavy it would fall over

the unions are needed to keep management in check though, they aren't perfect but i'd personally want them around

Dealing with the tobacco problem is hugely important, but his new role will probably be more suited to it.
