At that price is it exempt from import duty? The listed price on the website is €22.81.

I think €22 is the threshold. Anything above is liable. That said, if you were hit with a charge(which is unlikely, as these sites usually mark down the value of the packaged goods), it would not bankrupt you.

I see what you did there.

Need a bit more research into this really, but there's no sign of that model on the manufacturer's website (Romoss.com). And Romoss's Amazon store only only sell versions up to 16,000mAh.

Could be legit, but that power rating for that price...? Here's hoping.

Very good price would just have to wait awhile for delivery i'd say

The Tmart website itself says they are fake copies. If you look at the Romoss guide for spotting fakes on the listing for the 20,000mAh and then compare it to the pictures for the 10,400mAh version you can see that the 10,400mAh version is a fake copy, so I would assume the one listed as more powerful than the company makes (20,000mAh) is fake too.

From looking at this forum i'd be surprised if it's genuinely 20,000 Mah

Yep, agreed. Only a pitiful 10,000mAh but a much more reliable unit here :

I got a 15,000mAh one in Aldi the other week for €20 so might be worth keeping an eye out there for the next time they do them.

Just a note - these things take hours to charge up.
Maybe it's just me but I wouldn't be awfully keen on leaving a non-branded unit on overnight in my house.

It says on the listing that it's genuine and how to spot a fake.

I think this is fairly genuine.

But I guess we'll find out when we get them! :pac:

My Anker one takes a good 5 or 6 hours to charge.

I wouldn't leave any sort of external battery on charge over night, regardless of the brand.

I leave it on charge on a non flammable surface whilst I'm in the house.

Takes ages to charger but it's knowing that if your phone dies you'll always have access to charge it and make that phone call or whatever.

From my experience, these work great, that is until the charging port starts to give trouble. I now have to wind the cord around the device to keep the thing charging. If even the cat farts:mad: it looses connection..

Have you tried a separate USB cable?

Maybe it's the cable you were using.

These do have a limited number of charges which is usually 200-300 I think, maybe it's passed that?

Hard to see it being genuine when they don't have a 20,000 mAh in their range

It says it's original in the link and says how to spot the differences between a fake.

My guess is it's probably an older model.

as it seems, there's a cheaper one with similar specs and capacity on Tmart: http://j.mp/1mo9eCF

The charging time has a lot more to do with your charger than the portable battery pack.

    A laptop USB port will deliver 5V with a current of 500mA - 750mA

    I've seen 3 different types of Mains to USB converters - 700mA, 1000mA, or 2000mA (all 5V).

I have a 12,000 mAh Powergen battery pack.

    A 2000mA charger will charge it in 1.5 - 2 hrs.

    A 1000mA charger will take 3 - 4 hrs.

Charging it from a laptop USB port takes 12 - 15 hrs.

Ah sure if some Chinese website says something is real it must be..........

TMart is a very reliable source IMO so I would generally trust it.

I understand what you're saying and it should be taken with a pinch of salt.

From looking it up I can't find anything on this model.

We'll have to just wait and see I suppose.

They must be huge. Any of the powerbanks around 10k mAh were huge.

Not really. I have this one http://j.mp/1khyrds and it's just a bit wider and thicker than my HTC One. Convenient enough to even keep in the same pocket with the phone in case of emergency :)

I had a couple of these and I believe thickness is the most important dimension we need to look at.

Keeping two HTC Ones in a pocket would be anything but convenient.

Was that a 15000mAh or 12000mAh? I got 1 today for €19.99 in Aldi but was 12000mAh, an "Envivo 12000 mah professional powerbank" it has 3usb ports, on the packaging mentions accessionx.com but nothing in the website about it.

I stand corrected, just looked at it there and you're right, it is only 12,000mAh.

Still charges my phone almost four times before it runs out so I'm happy enough with it.

Just a quick update I case anyone is wondering.

I received my battery today and to my surprise Customs left it alone, they usually go mad for anything that says TMart on the front!

The battery is huge! Really long.

Mine came with full battery or at least 4 of the indicators were lit.

I plugged it Int my tablet and it said AC so it charges at 2A.

No clue if I can check if it's 20,000mAh though.

Mine came today. No customs. Currently charging my phone from it. It is huge and heavy but could come in handy.

Mine came today. No customs. Currently charging my phone from it. It is huge and heavy but could come in handy.

Mine came with all 4 of the orange lights lit meaning it came with between 75% and 100% battery. I managed to charge my Nexus 7 2013 from about 30% to full meaning the battery has at least 3,000mAh in it.

I have an Anker battery aswell if I use my Romoss to charge my Anker and my Anker to charge my Romoss does that mean I'd have unlimited power? :pac:

    It's extremely heavy alright.
