Hey guys just wondering where the best place to start mixing would be? Is there something I can download(preferably free) and mess about with on my laptop? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Free for home use
http://www.virtualdj.com/products/virtualdj/index.html

You can start off by just using keyboard and mouse but obviously using a dedicated dj controller is going to offer a better mixing experience
