Oil Stove to Solid Fuel Stove

Hi, i have a small 4kw oil stove installed. Chimney has a flexi liner (5" i believe)and is capped at top with some sort particular oil stove cap which has smallish vents.
Can i connect a solid fuel stove to existing flue liner or should i remove liner and connect to chimney flue with an adaptor.
I guess the cap at top of chimney liner needs to be removed and replaced with something?
    Thanks

More than likely the flexi liner is rated for oil not solid fuel.
It would need to be replaced and a new terminal.best bet is to get a stove fitter in to check it out

Thanks Rob, so some flexi liners are only rated for oil? I havent checked diameter if flexi yet but if it is 5" I was hoping to just connect it to new solid fuel stove and chop off the flexi liner oil cap at top of chimney to create an open 5" chimney outlet.
If flexi liners can be rated for oil only how do you determine flexi liner type?
    Thanks

    It's
Hard to tell by looking at them you need to feel the difference solid fuel will be double ski and oil/gas is single skin so it's lighter.
Most flexis have a max life expectancy of 10 years
