I've been on Jobbridge for the past 9mnths, it is due to finish next Thursday the 17th. I haven't managed to secure a job yet so will have to go back on the dole. Does anyone know if I will be paid into my bank account next Thursday as usual as it is my last day and when I have to sign on again? I went into the dole office to ask about it but she didn't have a clue. She didn't know when my jobbridge was up, couldn't tell me when my payment would revert back to the post office or when I need to sign on again. She just said I would probably get a letter in the post.

Has anyone got any experience of this and know first hand what happens? My rent is due out of my account Thursday as are some direct debits and I don't want them to bounce and be stuck with the fees. Thanks

    what ever date your finished
you get paid for that week on the thursday

so for example, I finish my jobbridge on the 3/7/14 which is a friday
I got paid the day before

theirfore I got paid already for my final week on the jobbridge
the following week I would get paid by post office on a normal JSA
so go back in on the monday and sign back on or even sign on the friday if they let you go early

ya might still get a job out of it so goodluck op!!

about 2 weeks before I was due to finish my Job bridge I got a letter from social welfare to telling to report to sign on on X date and telling me that my payment will recommence from X post office at the reduced amount ( -50 top up) from X date.

3 months later I got the TUS letter so expect a letter from TUS scheme by the new-year if you still stuck on JSA

Thanks for the info guys. I haven't recieved any communication from social welfare yet so it's handy to get others first hand experiences. There's no way I will be kept on where I am unfortunately. It's a young company and they can't afford to pay staff apparently although they said I will be their first call if that changes.

Is the TUS scheme after jobbridge standard practice or is it just randomly selected? The social welfare office here don't seem to have a clue about anything so asking them for info on anything is a waste of time.

it is random, the lad who finished job bridge before me never got anything from them, but he is in a different signing office.

seems like certain offices are more pro active at issuing people to TUS etc than others.

Thanks, here's hoping I get a paying job before then.
