It's his fault for going to probably the most boring sport out there. I don't know how it's so popular.

Not too sure how being filmed having a nap in a public venue can be considered lawsuit worthy but I'd imagine his lawyers were happy to nab some easy fees.

I think Cricket might top that ...

This being in America it wouldn't surprise me if he actually won or they settle out of court.
Anyone remember the woman who sued McDonalds after she spilt her hot coffee on her legs?
    Or my personal favourite:

A woman in Florida went to Universal Studios and decided to try out the haunted house ride.
She was so scared after the ride that she had had mental anguish and decided to sue Universal Studios for having a too scary ride.
She sued for 15000 Dollars..... the best bit? She won.

I've tried to watch baseball and it amazes me to say that I find cricket more entertaining.

What really puts me off the sport however is EVERYONE constantly spitting. It's foul.

Yes. And she was dead right too.

But why let the facts get in the way of having a good laugh.

I've read the case and I know about it and in my opinion it's a perfect example of frivolous litigation.

My wife fell asleep at a GAA double one Sunday. The cameras didn't pick her out but she was in the background shots during an injury. My brother rang me and in his words said...

"Wake her the fook up will ya, the whole country is watching her!"

    ........true story

Not worth his time. If he gets the $10m, he'll have to pay county, federal and state taxes, property taxes and pay his lawyers.

Amount he will actually recieve after all of that would be about $42

If he is successful, and you can sue for having your own stupidity published, that girl giving the 20 odd bad blowjobs will make a killing :D

My years of reading John Grisham books tells me the lawyers will get a least a third of the money

Maybe he was off the Beer for a month.

To be fair, he's not suing for being caught on cameras. He's suing for what he perceives to be unwarranted abuse from the commentators.

The problem there is that they didn't say or insinuate anything like he's suggesting they did. He's unlike to get far with his case.

People forget that anyone can sue anyone for anything. The act of suing isn't worthy of the whole "'Murca" thing, but if he somehow won, then it'd be a different case

Would need to see the ESPN footage of the incident for a full evaluation. Seem frivolous to say the least.

    Ummm - he's suing. That doesn't mean he's won.

You can sue anyone you want. You just fill out the paperwork.

I know America-bashing is so "in", but anyone in any country can sue.
