    Hi there,
Can anyone recommend a locksmith to fix the lock on an apartment Post Box and an idea of what price it would be? Based in Dublin 1.
I'd be grateful for any advice.
    Thanks in advance:-)

Locksmiths aren't cheap - you're looking anything between 60-120 for a call out and work.

We had one to the house last Saturday to remove a broken key from a PVC door lock and it was 75.

post a picture of your postbox

Chances are its a cheap lock in it.

    Easier to replace than repair.

Do you have a management company or caretaker for the apartment block?
I'd ask them first. It may be covered as basic maintenance.

    Is the box open?

If not you could try pulling it open (forcing it)

Then unscrew lock retainer and bring to a locksmith to buy a new matching type.

    That's a great idea - might give that a try - thanks
