I have two of these targets and only use one of them this one is surplus to requirements i am moving to Germany in a couple of weeks and can't bring both of them with me. The plate can be put in two positions high and low. You can shoot any centerfire rifle at it once it is over 100m and .22 at any distance. The plate is angled downwards at a 20 degree angle so the shrapnel is deflected straight into the ground. it has been designed so there are no bolts on the plate face so there is no danger of a ricochet.
I have never shot any centerfire at it only about 10 rounds of 22 as i only ust the other one.
