apologies if this is in the wrong place or has been asked before but I am currently a full time student, I was on social welfare for the summer but have recently started a full time job.

how do my tax credits work as a student as I have heard a number of variations from a number of people?

I rang Revenue today to set up tax credits but forgot to mention I was a student.

    thanks in advance.

Students aren't taxed any different to anyone else. Its just that students earn on average very little so would attract little or no tax.
