I'm building a gaming PC capable of medium load for somewhere between €500-800, not sure yet. Anyways, I went on tomshardware and one guy suggested two setups to me for different price ranges. Just wondering if someone could look over the builds, confirm they're suitable and maybe give a comment on dabs.ie where he suggested I buy the parts.

Here's the thread on tomshardware: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-2211027/500-600-gaming-build-ireland.html

    Forgot This stuff:
    1. What is your budget? Between €500-800 (pretty flexible between those figures)

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? [Gaming (CoD, BF4, Skyrim, GTA V, Metro, I'll be playing a pretty wide variety)/Internet/Word Processing]

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? [No]

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? No

    5. Do you need a monitor? [No]

5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future? I don't actually know, will try to figure this out when I have the monitor to hand

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? Wireless Card

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? I want to keep it as an option for the future

    8. How can you pay? [Credit Card/Laser]

    9. When are you purchasing? [In less than 30 days]

    10. If you need help building it, where are you based? [Cork City]

I'd go for this. Could also beef up the graphics card and remove the ssd and still be 600 ish.

Any reason for the micro ATX board? I was thinking of getting one maybe capable of 1866MHz RAM and with options for crossfire/SLI, any suggestions?

For the size or the board itself. The h81 chipset should be grand to be honest, I wouldn't overclock at that price, and therefore h81/h87 are the best options, and the advantages are major for the h87 imo. mATX tends to be the sweet spot for price between the boards and the cases, and offers decent expansion. The ram speed doesn't make a huge difference unless your using an amd apu, but get it if you want.
