Mouse cursor stuck on screen?

I am using another computer to type this because my cursor on my own computer is completely frozen in the middle of the screen. I was cleaning it some dirt off the touchpad and I think it must have disabled it somehow. I tried using my usb mouse and it still wont work. The keyboard itself works although I can only move around a little bit. But I was able to try and get to the Synaptics Touchpad list and there is a exclamation mark over it, but I was not able to go into the link.

I am using Windows 7 and my laptop is HP, btw.

If anyone knows how to unfreeze, please let me know, thanks.

Is it possible you have double tapped an area of the touchpad and locked it?

To unlock it you quickly double tap the top left corner (or one of the other corners).

There might be a tiny light somewhere around the touchpad, if it's on that means it's locked.
