Hello everyone, my husband started receiving jsa a month ago. He has a part time work, twice a week. When he handed his docket for the first two weeks, he didnt have problem receiving his cheque every tuesday morning. But on the third week. He didnt receive any cheque from the post til now. He rang the social welfare office and they said they havent receive any dockets from him since june 10 which is really weird coz he send them to the post every wednesday with a stamp on it. So he just decided to go to the local office and tell them about it. Then he was given a form to sign in for the docket that they said that they havent "receive" so they said the cheque will be here on tuesday. But still nothing on the post. We rang them again today. They said they havent receive any docket "again" on the 10th of june. Which is really frustrating. Coz were behind on paying the rent and bills. So they said to dropby again to the office and sign in another docket that was lost. They said they havent receive any docket from last week. Which is confusing coz we dont know who to believe in now. They are so inconsistent with their information. They dont even know whats going on and where the problem is, all they do is check on the computer but their information is inconsistent. It is really getting in our nerves coz we need it to pay for the basic needs. We ask for a lil help to pay the rent today. But they said no one will be able to talk to us today. They said to go back on friday instead just to be sure. What can we do? We only have a few euros left to get by? Is there any other way?

go in tomorrow and go in thursday

the person who told you to come in friday is probably off friday so you'll have to deal with someone else and explain it all over again
the more ya go in, the faster they will be with it, as they hate people coming in constantly asking

Thanks for answering. Do u think we will be able to get the cheque or do we still need to wait til tuesday again? Or we can just get a little help to pay the bills for the mean time?

If your really stuck you should apply for Supplementary Welfare Allowance to the Department of Social Protection's representative (formerly known as the Community Welfare Officer) at your local health centre as soon as the need arises. Sometimes they may issue a cheque there and then.
