Bathroom Etiquette in the Driving Range ?

Do you leave a free bay between yourself and anyone else up at the range ?

I notice this last Saturday morning. There was a Taylormade fitting day on so it was pretty busy. But as each guy walked out with his basket of balls they all walked along the line until they found a bay that had a gap on either side.

Does everyone adhere to this unspoken rule of the range or have you ever been in the range with lots of free bays and then have someone arrive and get into the bay next to you and make it awkward ?

Range I use assigns bays to you.

Only comparison to bathroom etiquette, therefore, that I follow, is, that I never peek over at the shaft.

Though I do always apologise when I inadvertantly mutter "ah shííte" at a spectacularly bad shot.

Range I go to only has mirrors every second bay and these seem to fill up first

Yeah I also hate gobsh1tes taking these bays even though they haven't a clue what they need the mirror for.

I chose my bay based on the condition of the mat and position in relation to yardage markers, etc. - or if there are "let's discuss every shot" merchants talking loudly or some plonker shouting into his phone

Nothing worse then a lad hitting them poor or well.
    A talker
    A looker
    A Boomer
    A Taylor Made fitting
    A roof hitter
    A good looking girl
    A laser lad
    A give the tips lad
    A take an age lad
    A too fast lad
A guy who thinks he is on tour

But one day i looked . The guy was on tour.

Golfers . I'm beginning to think you can't keep them happy .

I just pick one based on mat condition and if it is somewhat central to markers or targets.

Doesn't really bother me if I'm beside someone or what they are doing. It's practice and I'm usually working on something I've decided on before I go there.

Having someone talk, yap or natter really doesn't bother me in the slightest, and I don't mind having a natter with someone who engages. Although normally would just keep to myself.

Odd time my mates want to go driving range and I go with, and we take a few bays together and have a laugh and chats, don't see the lads that often anymore so good to catchup. Not really caring if someone is "disturbed" by chatting, its a driving range, not a course.
