Leave freesat box connected and plugged in?

I have a working Echostar freesat box in a spare room that is not being used. The box is plugged in and connected to the satellite.

Long term is it better to leave the box connected to get software updates, new channels etc.

Or should I disconnect it and store it away until its needed? Would the freesat box live longer this way!

Does it make a difference either way? (I have a couple of old Sky boxes and when I connect them up they seem to work OK.)

    Unplug.

If there are channels update just do a first time install when you next use it.
