It's just something I thought about after reading the designer vagina thread in TLL. As far as I'm aware there's no surgery, pills, creams or exercises that have been proven to actually enlarge the penis enough to make a difference. They can give a larger look when flacid but erect, the difference is minimal and the procedures are very dangerous.
It's an issue that effects most men at some point in their life mostly because porn always shows lads who are well above average and it create a false sense of average size. A few recent threads in AH about the Magaluf girl have been laced with dozens of comments stating that the 24 men in the video all have 'small cocks'. I would have thought 24 blokes with average size penises is a fairly good indication of the standard :rolleyes:
If a woman wants to really ridicule and hurt a man all they have to do is attack his penis size or lift her pinky finger, and really men just have to do the same. It can cause serious psychological issues but I can't see the world changing any time soon.
On a recent documentary I heard something along the lines that the human penis is actually overgrown. A silverback gorilla has a penis that's only a couple of centimetres in length and it's quite thin because it's just a functional organ where humans are a lot more intelligent and see it as much more than that, it's a sign of masculinity and dominance. Over the centuries we have evolved to have what we have today and it's bred into both male and female that bigger=better etc.
I wouldn't ridicule someone for having a small one as it's something you just can't change and I image that even if they could change it, the stigma attached to such an operation would be enough to put a lot of people off it.
Anyone got any opinions on the matter?1

It seems that yes there was some selection pressure in humans for men to have bigger willies. As you point out gorillas are tiny, never mind in comparison to their overall body size. Chimps are rocking more but again way below the average human male. Where this selection pressure came from is hard to pin down, though it's likely it was sexual selection by human females at some time in our evolutionary history. It may have come along with walking upright where the area was on more constant display. It may have something to do with male to male display but the reality of some being "showers" and other being "growers" seems to bring it back to what women selected for.
Testicle size also shows differences among the great apes. Gorillas have harems so have smaller testicles as they don't need to compete as much with other males. Though rogue males do nip in and impregnate females so they still get duped. Chimps are highly competitive and promiscuous so chimps testes are huge so to increase the individual males chances with each sexual encounter. Human males are in the middle in size and all sorts of things have been read into that.
Humans alos lost the penis bone, which means we have to rely on blood pressure. This may have been a way to judge reproductive health as your general health and age can really show in the efficiency of your willy.
There was some selection going on with women too. Much more in fact. They became fertile year around and hid this fertility. They have enlarged breasts and bums. Indeed to any other great ape a woman would be ignored simply because she looks like she's either currently out of season, pregnant or lactating, so this was a huge set of changes. The human clitoris also migrated from a position where it would be more directly stimulated by intercourse to a position where this was less the case. Sexually and in sexual display we're very different to other great apes. Tis fascinating stuff.
As for size and function I would imagine this depends on a lot of factors. Some women are "size queens" and require more in the trouser dept. to feel stimulated. Some women get more from intercourse than foreplay so a larger willy may come into play more there. Other women would not be as happy with a monster. I would say that so long as you're in "normal" range average in length and girth you're grand with the vast majority of the ladies. After all we're "designed" to be as compatible with each other as possible. It's a good bit down the list as far as orgasms are concerned anyway. Clitoral stimulation is where it's at for the most part, either directly or indirectly. A large penis in girth can stimulat the larger area of the clitoral body surrounding the vagina, but again depends on the woman. Length seems to be more about "oh wow lookit the size o that thing" rather than function.
I do recall reading of another study which showed some correlation between penis size and social confidence. The larger men where correlated with more confidence. The more cocky they were, the more cocky they were so to speak. Can't recall how strong the correlation was mind you. Some researchers can get the horn over 3% correlation so...
Increasing the size? I read somewhere or other in an actual study that stretching and forcing more blood into the tissue of the penis did give some gains in length and girth. Took ages IIRC and the increase was small, one or two centimetres in new money, again IIRC.
If a woman ever insults you by saying your penis is lacking, I would suggest commenting that at first you were torn between making love to her or going spelunking. By the time she looks that up, you should be far enough away to avoid testicle damage. Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

I had problems growing up with the size of my penis. I only ever seen them in porn so thought I was on the smaller side of life. Not having a father around I was always taking into the women's changing rooms and toilets when growing up so never seen too many normal penises to compare. Then as I got older I learned I wasn't small I was just normal.
Me and a friend partook in a threesome, this guy is a foot taller than me but no bigger down stairs which the girl found funny as she thought the bigger you were the bigger the penis.
A lot of girls have a skewed view of what's normal as many they see are from porn or the lads with the big ones whipping them out any chance they get (we all had that one friend).
It doesn't bother me anymore as I now know that its not all about the size! I have a friend who is huge but is a 2 minute man. Where I'm a normal size and go a lot longer. I'm no stranger to some clitoral stimulation either, where as he is the type of fella to give it his all for 2 minutes then just cum and leave it at that.
Most women don't care, but you do get the few who will. If you are with a girl who you care for and believe she cares for you then penis size should be irrelevant.
