Hi all. My family is taking a trip to Paris this August and could use a hand finding a good hotel. It's a family of 4 adults and 2 children, 3 night stay, in the West Bank Paris area. We're looking for something with a decent breakfast, affordable and clean/comfortable.
If anyone has personal experience, it is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    what are your rooming arrangements?
All in one room, or doubles or twins or triples or single + double or whats acceptable?

And whats reasonable/ affordable/ in your price range?
I was trying to help a couple of backpackers find an acceptable and reasonable accomodation in Munich for their last few nights on tour, and after taking time to give them a range of value comfortable hotels then they went and booked the 5* Charles hotel which must have been at least €400 a night on a special deal, a hotel so posh and upmarket that there was a Bugatti Veyron (top speed of 431.072 km/h, cost €2million or more) parked outside it a couple of weeks back.

Rooming arrangements will be 2 triples.
Affordable would be about 600 euro for the three nights for everyone included.

that Novotel seems to have some good rates.
For the middle of August you can get a room direct from the hotel for 2 adult and 1 child incl breakfast (which in Novotel is normally very good, and sometimes excellent) for 94 a night. Room only is 69 a night.
Check http://www.accorhotels.com/ and you can see other comfortable business hotels in the Novotel and Mercure range near business centres/ hub which are going at very good rates during the holiday season - when business travellers arent travelling.

Slight tangent, but its actually a good strategy to remember in the future. I was looking at a Novotel in Bologna for the summer holidays in mid august for 60euro a night for 2 adults and 2 kids incl breakfast. But its located slightly off centre in a more practical location for business rather than tourist travellers, and is massive, so when theres no cash rich business men they try and fill their rooms with less than fussy families.
At that price its nearly cheaper than camping!
