Literally no idea where one would ask this question so will post it here.

Anyone know if it's ok to use stamps up to the value necessary on the letter?
Have to post a letter for 90c and am wondering if two lower value stamps would do the trick

Draw a little box and write IOU in it on the front of the envelope.

If something costs €1 and you only have 2 x 50c coins, do you get confused?

What if the price doesn't include VAT?

    What then?

If I have two beans... and I add another two beans... how many beans do I have?

If my left hand holds 10 oranges and my right hand holds 16 apples.

    How big are my hands?

It would actually be very easy to calculate that if we took the standard regulated size of apples and oranges.

We could then take that information and get the area and volume of you hands and the fruit.Maybe even throw some vectors in for the laugh.

Yes... but you obviously don't get change if you go over.
    So try to avoid it.

If you have two 60c stamps anf you want to send a normal little letter to France you'll have to put 90c on it.
Stick the two 60c stamps on and you'll be 30 cent out of pocket... 30 cent!

Go to the post office and get the exact amount you need.

You can use any combination of multiple stamps as long as the total amount is 90c or greater. If you only had 60c stamps, you could put two of them on if you wanted. You would overpay that's all. Just don't put on less than necessary or you will have a problem.

Yes, two stamps will be the finest. Just be sure to put them on the outside of the envelope.
