    Hi,
I'm probably picking up an 01 1.6 petrol Focus estate in the next few days.
I have zero experience with Fords!

Anyone got any advice when I go to check it out?

Also, it is out of tax, will I get caught with arrears after I purchase it?

Is it a good car to pick up for feck all?

    Thanks in advance!

You won't get caught on arrears anyway.

You are only liable for tax from the start of the month in which you sign the VLC.
If you bought today you would be liable for tax from 1st July onwards.

It seems like a solid reliable motor, I'm potentially getting it as a straight swap for my 1.4 04 Scenic.
It's NCT'd to Jan 15 and has 120k on the clock

Make sure the timing belt was done.
    Check everywhere for rust.
Other than that they are pretty reliable.....certainly compared to what you're getting rid of.:)

    That's for sure.
Looks solid if scruffy, a good valet and a wash and wax and it'll be fine.
Might get the car done too ;)
