BTEA and transfer

I am receiving btea and have applied for a transfer to another course (3rd level).
I won't hear back until Sept whether or not I've been successful. If I don't get in I was thinking of doing a fetac course. Will I still be able to get btea? And if so can I get it again if I'm reapplying the following year for 3rd level again?

Hopefully that makes sense! I rang up about it earlier on but the guy didn't seem to understand so looking for more information.

Hi, as far as I know u can only get btea if you are advancing to a higher level of education like from level 5 up to level 6 or higher. So if you are going from a third level course back to a FETAC
I don't think you will qualify for btea. Is it possible to transfer between 3rd level colleges and keep your btea do you know?
