    Hi folks.

Anyone with the newest 6 on here? I am looking to trade up to a newish car and I kinda like them both inside and out especially the Platinum model which appears well equipped.

I have looked at loads of marques at this stage and nothing is doing it for me.

    Cheers.

That engine in the CX-5 is great. It's a one of the nicer looking cars on the road at the moment.

Platinum used to be Sport SE I think until this year. Heated leather, xenons, front and rear sensors and nav. Most boxes ticked.

Get a light colour though - Mazda paint is pants.

    what year? Petrol or diesel?

Edit: just seen it's the newest one you are looking for, please discount my above post.

We've had an Executive model since Feb. Not driven it that much, but it's used for nipping here and there. Engine is very good, seats are very comfy and even in entry spec, it's not a bad place to be.

Sent a Platinum out on Friday. Not sure whether the extra cost over an Executive SE is worth it - leather is nice - could get that retro fitted though. Heated seats - could live without them, and personally I wouldn't pay extra for Xenon's - but I don't do much night driving off main roads, you may be a bit different.

Still a bit plasticky on the inside (even the Platinum model) for my liking, but better than the old model. Masses of leg room in the back (almost Superb like) and a very deep boot. Huge car altogether, and a stunner to look at.

Also have a 3 at the moment - that's great fun to drive. Same 150ps engine (very un diesel like on take off) in a small ish (probably similar size as the old Mazda6) car.

I've spent all day driving them back to back with similar SUV's.

    I love it.
