    Hey Folks,

Apologies in advance if I'm wasting your time but was looking for a few pointers in relation to a few basic NCT repairs my 00 Renault Megane needs!

Broken drivers seat- I'm guessing a scrapyard best place to find a replacement, but would there be much work involved replacing it?

Rear passenger door- won't open from the outside(and I've childlocked it from the inside while trying to fix said problem....)- any ideas how I could get this problem sorted handily?

    Appreciate any guidance whatsoever!

Rear passenger door - it's likely the rod/wire which connects the handle to the lock has become disconnected. You'll have to remove the door card (3 or 4 screws IIRC and a flat [plastic] blade like a screwdriver to get through the sealant around the card) from the inside and reconnect it. It's fairly straightforward but you need to be careful taking off the doorcard that you don't stab yourself or scratch the paint (if that's something you care about!), and you'll maybe need a part once the card's off and sealant to reseal it. It's quite straightforward to.

Drivers seat I've not done before, but I'd imagine a couple of bolts and things like the airbag sensor connection (if applicable) would be all you'd need to worry about. It's likely that there's a specific torque value for the bolts which you should get right, last thing you want is a loose seat.... :)

Cheers mate, I will give both a shot tonight!

Regarding the seat, two metal parts have come apart on the bottom left so the NCT chap reckoned it needed replacing!
