No nothing like that on it at all.

Old battered, password protected, gen 1 - surely no use to anyone??

I am staying positive that someone has it and will hand it in when they are going home this evening.

    Soooooo!

I got on to Connolly stn around 12 today when I realised I had lost it :o Guy there so nice and helpful and said he'd start ringing stations from Grand Canal Dock to Bray. He rang me about 3 to say no luck.

Spoke with a guy in Pearse who was helpful and nice as well, didn't ring anywhere but took name and number and said if it turned up he'd ring me.

Guy in Bray was quite helpful and gave me info about the actual train, e.g. it got to Bray and would have gone back "empty" to Connolly 2 hours later.
He suggested some other stations it could have gone and said ring them.

No answer at two, and at one the guy was very unhelpful  "no I won't take your name, because I'll just stick it here and the next guy might not see it, and then it'll get lost and then we won't be able to contact you, just keep ringing every day" Right.......

Anyhoo, this eve on train I get a call from Connolly, different guy from the morning. I'm like "you found it!!" and he's like "wellllllll.....(very serious) can you describe it and anything that will particularly identify it. I describe, something specific that identifies it, and he's like "we have it, it came on a Drogheda train(!!!!) we think this ipad has been just travelling up and down all day and some guy just coming in from Drogheda has just handed it in".

I think he asked me to identify it (so carefully!) because they just could not believe it could be mine!!!!!

I am ecstatic! So I am collecting it in the morning. Plus the guy who found it left his mob no so I shall be contacting him to arrange something small for him.

Thank you IE (connolly) and massive thank you to stranger who handed it in. And no thanks to stupid amdublin :o

You had a bad day, but i'm glad a good lad found your iPad instead of some young cad, as my dad would say. He's a tad old-fashioned, a bit mad.

    These rhymes make me sad.

Fair play to the chap who handed it in.

Yeehaw, posting from the lost and found iPad!

Texted the fella this morning to tell him how grateful I am. Plus asked for his address as I want to send him something small.
He replied to say my text was enough as he is glad it is back with the owner and he just hopes someone would do the same for him.

I am sure karma will be good to him in the future.

Btw, I like to think my big old hippy sticker on the iPad stating "that all human beings are created equal members of One Human Family" (official philosophy of island of Key West) had something to do with it coming back to me :pac:

Alls well that ends well. I really was very lucky :o

Brilliant to hear a good news story!

It just shows that having staff at stations is important for customer service like this. Turning the DART/Commuter into a luas operation, and you would have very little chance of getting anywhere.
