    Hi
how much would it cost to get this delivered to Dublin? Is it any good?  And would I need a sound bar with it.  Its getting wall mounted so any recommendations on the mount would also be appreciated.  Trying to keep everything as low as possible!

Delivery on this screen would come in at £40.00

    Hi Peteb2.

Opps, forgot about the soundbar question.

While the sound on the LG is not to bad compared to other flatscreen TV's.
A soundbar would greatly improve on the sound and give a more fuller cinema experience.

It depends what sort of a budget you woudl have for a soundbar as there are many versions.

    Pioneer SBX300 priced at £139.00
    http://www.richersounds.com/product/soundbars/pioneer/sbx300/pion-sbx300

    Yamaha YAS101 priced at £149.00

    Yamaha YAS152 priced at £179.95

Cambridge Minx TV priced at £199.95
    http://www.richersounds.com/product/soundbars/cambridge-audio/minx-tv/camb-minx-tv-blk

    Onkyo LSB50 priced at £224.95

    Yamaha YHTS401 priced at £279.00
    http://www.richersounds.com/product/soundbars/yamaha/yhts401/yama-yhts401

Or you could go nuts and go for something like the:
    Yamaha YSP2200 priced at £599

    Hey Jakmcc96.

I really can not comment on this.
Seems Argos either made a mistake or as a good will offer they upgraded your screen for some reason.

Although I would suggest that not every customer of theirs will get this offer if they purchase the LN575n which has now been discontinued as it is last years model.

    Hi Peteb2.

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you.

I have checked the link and its is showing as the following delivery to the South of Ireland:

Select your destination country:   UK  Republic of Ireland  British Forces PO  Austria  Belgium  Cyprus  Denmark  Finland  France  Germany  Greece  Italy  Luxembourg  Malta  Netherlands  Norway  Portugal  Spain  Sweden
    [th]Delivery Type[/th]
    [th]Ex.Vat Price[/th]
    [th]Inc.Vat Price[/th]

Standard Delivery. Up to 14 Days.
    €83.83
    €100.59

This would make them much more expensive than us as we also offer a free 5 year Guarantee. They charge per month for their guarantee (6.28 Euro)

Where did you see the £15 shipping on their site?

    Morning Kenny

    Its here - http://www.laptopsdirect.co.uk/content/delivery.asp

    Destination
    Item Type
    Delivery Type

    Standard
    (7 to 14 days)

    Rapid
    (3 to 5 days)

    Specified Day
    (Choose a Day)

    Republic of Ireland
Small & Medium Items - TVs under 42" & Accessories.
    £9.95
    £14.95
    -

Large Items - TVs 43" and above.
    £99.95
    -
    -

Plus you mentioned guarantee at a monthly cost of €6.28 - that's not a guarantee. That's extended warranty cover which I have no interest in.  Covers accidental damage and such.  You referred to your offer as a guarantee.  Which is different.

    Hi Peteb2.

Not sure what going on with those guys?
When you go through to their checkout it puts the 42" in the Large items, with no option to change this.  I'm not sure why this happens.
You could try calling them to check why it puts it in the £99.95 bracket and if you can get confirmation via email for the shipping that would be great so we can confirm this.

When in comes to Warranty/Guarantee., again it would need to be like for like for a price beat. We offer a 5 year and it covers nearly everything apart from accidental damage:
    http://www.richersounds.com/information/warranties

If a company does not offer this then we could not include our 5 year in a price beat.

Apologies if this seems awkward but I have to following our price beat policy.

Let me know if you get an answer from them or any further questions please ask.

In the end they came back and said they looked into it and the cost would be £69.95 sterling to deliver it!! Fairly shoddy.  Still looking into prices.

i'm trying my best Kenny!! :)

I can get it in the UK for £399 with free delivery in some instances to Parcel Motel's location in the North.  And then its €21 to get it down to here.  But I presume this doesn't fit with your match!

Throw in a 3m HDMI lead and I'll stop searching and we'll just shake on it!

  • Company Representative Posts: 17,568 ✭✭✭✭Richersounds.ie: Kenny

    Hi Peteb2.

The screen has dropped an extra £5 to £424.00

With the free 5 year guarantee I can not offer a free 3meter HDMI.

To try and help with the cost I could offer a 3m HDMI @ £10.
