I am looking for a topper to suit a super dexta tractor. I dont have a clue of weights of toppers. I dont want one too heavy but the very small toppers are hard to come by

It would probably not be strong enough to even power a trailed one, im thinking. Some of them are very big

You would be supprised to be honist they arnt that bad to drive atall. If she would be doing more mowing than topping she wouldn't be able for it.

I was looking online and i would have to be looking at a fleming 5ft or 6ft. Was in contact with mchales and the 5ft9 would cost about 1100 euro brand new, how does that sound?

    buy a 5ft 6 or 6ft fully offset.

if your thinking of a semi offset just buy a finger bar mower and spill the diesel into the drain

the fully offset would be a fair bit heavier, if that is one of his concerns.

I don't see why people don't like the semi offsets though, majority of them around here are semi offsets, including our own and do a perfect job and we'd be topping some fairly boggy ground too and all the rushes that go with it..

6ft fully offset should be that much heavier

5ft 6 are a curse if using a 4wd. 14/20 inch of the 66inch is tramped less of course your overlap.

Fair weight out the back when folded for transport lakill.

Most of them are around that price. Belmac would be cheaper.

I have a 6" Malone semi offset and its fine. Don't thinks its worth the extra €500 to get fully offset and your tractor wouldn't be fit for one anyway.

ya, i think the poor aul dexta will be under enough pressure, dont want to wreck it either. Was only looking at fleming really becuase of the weights, what are the belmac like?

They are ok. I had one for about 10 yrs before the Malone. Took serious abuse really and had to be replaced this year. It was a bit harder driven than the Malone and maybe didn't cut as cleanly but for cleaning off rough fields and rushes it was good.
