Just bought this dress for an August wedding http://www.coast-stores.com/alva-mono-dress/all-dresses/coast/fcp-product/15989
I already have shoes that are perfect with it, dark blue satin peeptoes with a concealed platform, but I'm looking for inspiration re accessories: what colour/style of handbag? What jewelry? Shawl, cardi, jacket? Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I am kinda leaning towards silver accessories for this dress. It's gorgeous by the way. You could go with a light blue or navy pashmina. Think I would get the bag the same colour as the shoes.

Thanks Blingy! It's still hanging on the outside of the wardrobe so I can admire it every time I pass by :D
I've been hankering after a knuckleduster clutch bag for a while now so I'm going to try to track one down
Ooh a navy pashmina hadn't even crossed my mind but that makes sense and is something I'd definitely wear, cheers for that!
I had kind of hoped to do a clashing colour thing, like maybe a chartreuse bag or shawl or something, but the more I look at the dress the more I think it's probably too classic for that!?

Would this work. I have used the site before and the bags have been great that I've got from them. Way better quality than you might expect. https://www.punkyfish.com/bags/clutch-bags.html

Oh thanks for that, I'd prefer if the metal bits were silver but I'll get that one if I don't find one with silver! Thanks for the site recommendation too!

Costelloe and costelloe have those bags you are talking about. Not sure about prices though.

I would go for a blue toned structured envelope clutch...a bag or unstructured clutch won't look as put together with the style and look of this dress (which by the way I love!) I would keep the jewelry simple since the dress has large visuals going with either silver/white gold- a simple dainty necklace, bracelet, and stud earrings. If you would like to wear dangly earrings, I'd opt for no necklace and find some nice long earrings with either sapphires in them or chandelier type white gold/silver. A shawl would work really well with this rather than a cardi or jacket....if you can try to find a dark blue, sheer or slightly opaque one.

So just to update, I found 'the bag' today and I'm delighted with it! I found that silver looked horrible with the dress (kind of clashes with the ivory colour) so was surprised and delighted to find a bag exactly the colour of my 5 year old shoes in a shop in Limerick today :D
The shop is Serendipity on Roches Street, and I have a feeling it will become a regular haunt - great selection, excellent prices, and an amazing assistant who was incredibly helpful :)
The bag cost €36, it was reduced but I didn't see the original price

Thanks again for all the help ladies :)
