NQT-Summer Work

    Hi all,

    I'm an NQT, currently on the job hunt. I was due to work on a Summer Camp however it has been cancelled due to the lack of numbers. It's very hard to get any kind of Summer job at this stage of the summer, I already do some voluntary work and to be honest I need money! Anyone have any ideas/suggestions of something education related that I could look into regarding a few weeks of work? I really need to enhance my CV also! So any suggestions and I will be so grateful. Thanks in advance

    Hmmm probably a bit late in the game now as most places will have staff. Do you have a TEFL cert? You could ring local English schools to see if they have anything. Would you be entitled to claim for Jobseekers?

    No, unfortunately I don't have the TEFL cert. Also, haven't been unemployed long enough to claim Jobseekers as far as I'm aware! Think I'm doomed to be honest!

    If you are unemployed than claim. Dozens of teachers do this is in the summer and during periods of no work. You cant live on thin air
