My nails are in bits lately, and I've next to no nail care routine. Id love to hear everyone here's nail care routine, I'm thinking I definitely need to invest in a good cuticle oil and nail file!

I cut them, and sometimes paint them :o

When my nails are in bad condition (splitting and peeling), I stay away from nail polish for weeks. Using cuticle oil daily will help, and having a hand and nail cream in your bag so you'll use it a few times a day also helps.

Little things like using hand cream after washing the dishes, or even after washing your hands, can make a difference too.

I heard that a glass nail file is better than an emery board but tbh I've never noticed a difference. Regularly using hand cream has the most benefits for me.

OPI's Nail Envy was great as well, but only after 2-3 weeks of no nail polish and regular moisturising. It's expensive, but worked really well for me!

I stop using nail polish, lash on the hand and nail cream and then take some nail and hair vitamins and some multivitamins too. Sometimes when my nails start going to bits I find it's an indication that my immune system is low...

I've been quite sick for the last few weeks so that's probably it. I bought Sally Hansen cuticle rehab and a leighton denny chrystal emeryboard understand in boots as well as soap and glory hand cream / hand mask, hopefully it'll help, I'm going to a wedding in Friday and think it might be too little too late.

I moisturise my hands about 10 times a day add it is, but i rarely use cuticle oil, i wonder if that's it?

What cuticle oils are good? Is coconut/olive oil any use?

I too have had problems with really poor nails and found using cuticle oil and neutrogena a couple of times a day made a big difference. I leave them on my desk and if I'm taking a 2 minute break give them a quick run over!

Definitely stay away from painting as I find remover undoes all my hard work!

2 weeks ago I bought one of those 7 step nail files and tip away at my nails each day... Right now they're better than they've been in years!
