I would like to get a new microwave but am tempted to get a Combi for when I have guests etc.

Are they worth while? Any particular ones you'd recommend?

I had one. It was a complete waste of time. Microwave is fine, but if you start cooking conventionally eventually and inevitably spots of grease and food get on the grill / radiant bit, then the the next time you microwave all you get is clouds of smoke. It is easy to clean a simple microwave, but all the heating bits in the top are impossible.

I would totally agree with looksee. They are an expensive waste of time. I think they were designed for the likes of tiny apartments in big cities where space is a premium.

I'm thinking of one too ... But I want 2 ovens so instead of getting a double oven plus microwave we are considering a single oven plus a combi ... If you don't want/need second oven then prob not worth the expense IMO
