Hi just wondering how these prices sound for a 12.5 metre by 6.5 metre garage.
    Raft foundation €6900
Block work and external plastering, cavity wall €6000
    Roof tegral thrutone tiles €10000

This is the first quote I got and im wondering is there a significant saving to be had by going direct labour. Also if any one has suggestions for cheaper roof tiles that are blue black its a condition of planning. And before it is said i have considered reducing the size

Agreed. There must be a lot of ground work somewhere in ther on the raft. Block work and roof don't seem right.
Built 11m by 7m for 15 k direct labour 3 years ago plastered with 2 up and over doors with rAft foundation and I could have saved a few euros there but decided to stick with certain contractors.

Is this also a 2 story garage also. It might add 2-3 k on to it.

I will have more quotes next week. Its a raft foundation because of the sandy unstable soil on which it will be built
