Wheezing Noise When Pedalling

    So was out for a spin this evening, and whenever i pedaled with force there was an incredible wheezing noise, bb has been checked lately and bearings replaced, wheels and chain are new(1400km in the last 7 weeks):confused:

    I sometimes make a pretty bad wheezing noise when I'm pedalling hard too!!

    I'd a similar noise that started last week but disappeared a few days later without any intervention.

    No rubbing of pads from what i can see, it was nowhere near as prominent on todays 130km spin, so i think the i just need to oil the chain some more maybe, i had oiled it before my spin yesterday but may just have needed more time to penetrate the links maybe?

    Wheezing definitely implies some kind of rubbing.

    Does the wheezing change when you change cadence ?

    When looking for things that could be rubbing, remember that when your weight is on the bike, the tyres spread out a lot.
