NCT Question!

    have a 2010 golf and due the nct in a week. the indicator light on the wing mirror is broken on one side and not working but working on the other side. will I pass the nct with this broken or do I need to get this fixed?

    it will fail had many of these in to replace indicator unit in mirror,even if you fail its a no charge retest just a visual recheck.

    they are non changeable led light=new fixture needed.

    I would put it through the test before spending money for the whole unit. They might miss it.

    Would never recommend this with a regular indicator, but the wing mirror ones are not necessary, just an additional feature, so no harm if you don't have it.

    They missed a blown bulb for parking light recently, so they don't always pay attention to everything.

    they miss a lot of things and fail on the stupid ones and can miss 1/4 play in merc balljoints:eek:

    ebay has them listed in around £12 but would need more info to identify your one.
    think vw main dealer was deffo dearer.

    even utube vids on how to change but removal of glass a must to get at torx screws that hold lamp into position.

    Didn't see that before normally either wing or mirror but not both confused.

    we normally go main dealers but motor factors or that big irish dealer mick may have it.original equipment=oe
