Overgrown Roses

    Hi.
    Does anyone know if it is possible to lay overgrown roses the way one lays an overgrown hedge?
    I thought it might be a way of making a rose patch thicker?..

    Why not just try it? Though I would think you would tend to get more disease if the branches are tangled together.

    I think I saw somewhere that this can work well with rambler and possibly climber roses. You just pin the shoots to the ground and "train" them in whatever way you want. This will give good ground cover but no great height.

    Thanks guys, good ground cover and little height is what I'm looking for, so I'll give it a try.
    What time of year do you think would be best to try it??
