the filters is what matters most. don't buy a dust filter, buy a vapour filter

see some lads spraying with those white dust masks and most of them are only keeping out pollen

My brother gave me a present of a panel beater's mask. Has to be as good as it gets to be honest. Absolutely nothing gets through.
Dunno were you buy them, he got my one from a Wholesaler that supplies garages, but a serious job.

head for your local auto factors. Get a twin filter one

With many sprays, esp.Grazon, your eyes need to be protected just as much so get a good pair of air tight goggles. If they are fogging up then polish the inside of them with shaving cream!

Safety direct is where I get my masks. They have a website safetydirect.ie, once you tell them what you want them for they'll get the correct one for you.

Using a 3m 7500 here. Grand job, you buy the filters depending on what your using

these take replaceable filters, don't fog up and keep all the chemicals out of your eyes

I agree - anyone using dust/nuisance masks when spraying is crazy imo.

Those masks are useless for aerosolised chemical spraying.

I saw a neighbour recently spraying with a face mask but wearing a tea shirt and shorts!

Did a Professional staying course a number of years back.
    The run down was:

A proper face mask with replaceable filters is a must.

proper ppe - no shorts or tea-shirts - as many chemical compounds are fat soluble and will gain entry to the skin and membranes. Real wet gear with hair covered is advised. Add a good pair of wellies (kept for spraying) means that transference can be kept to the minimum.
