Dividing door issue..

    I'll admit it, i am hopeless at home diy so i need help.

    i have a dividing double door between sitting room and kitchen. This is locked in position with a latch, lever at the top of the door. Pull lever down to lock and up to open out the doors.

    the problem, when trying to open it the lever snapped so now i cant get the door unlocked. How do i get the unit off? Or how do i get the locking bolt thing down!?

    Is the face of the lock visible? If so unscrew it and remove .
